Source for models
I'm in Canada and I was wondering where is a good place to get models?
I know about the online places where you can download and print. But what about actual printed models? I was looking at something like this, https://www.super-hobby.com/products...II-W.-SW..html And are their better brands then others? Any I should stay away from? Thanks for your help. Never purchased a kit before. |

Here’s my 2c. And it’s worth just that. eBay and Amazon. Deleted pirate site Search card paper model. Lots of German and Eastern European suppliers. Google Orel, HMV, HALINSKI,GPM JSC , kartonmodelbau , Gomix , Fly Model. Maly Modelarz, Digital Navy. WAK
The only ones I don’t like are the Maly Modelarz. I find them very crude. Maybe I was looking at the older ones. The new ones might be much better. That lot ought to keep you busy and bring your credit card to it’s knees. Last edited by elliott; 03-11-2018 at 01:30 PM. Reason: Removed reference to pirate site |

If you need anything in particular PM me,I have some original printed models I won't make.
Otherwise GPM.pl is a great store, has an English language setting, accepts credit cards and ships to Canada. Mind you shipping prices from EU went nuts some time ago and nearly always shipping will cost more than product you are ordering. |

I've purchased from super-hobby.com a couple of times as well as GPM.pl, with delivery to the US. I had great service from both, no problems. Items arrive well-packaged and in good shape. Butelczynski is right, shipping can be expensive-- I'll purchase multiple items at once in order to make the shipping cost more efficient.

I like a fellow out of Chicago..Paper Model Store Paper Model Store
Super service, quick, nice selection...quick too. He even refunded me some money on a kit that was listed and I ordered, but it turns out he didn't have it. Then he in fact DID find it tucked away, told me about it and I'm now the happy owner. Top notch. Dan |

Ordering directly from the European publishers is what many do.
I successfuly bought from Paper Model Store...as well as GPM in Poland. You can also visit the IPMC, where a large (huge) selection of printed kits is available every year. There is a European Convenience store here in Ontario...with a few locations...that occasional sell Kits brought in from Europe. I forget the name...someone else might chime in. Ebay still has a few sellers worth dealing with but most tend to overcharge for stuff. Many members sell kits here...we have lots of people who collect too many, and then the need for space or cash forces them to sell. In fact, there are regularly Lots for sale here. If you are looking for a specific kit or subject, ask here. I guaranty someone has it and will sell it to you for the right price.
