About Plotters

hello guys, I have a CraftRobo 330-20
I know with pdf files that take on-line I can safely cut?or do I change anything?
I will try the new plotter instead of cutting by hand and see how the work
thanks in advance to all

I read in the manual you can import bmp, jpeg and other image files - didn't see anything about PDF though.

Here's the Craft Robo Master software manual: http://www.graphteccorp.com/craftrob...nual_CC300.pdf

The detail of the cutting is quite impressive on some of the models in the video:

Now wouldn't it be cool to see one of these at Dulles this October for the 2009 convention?

I looked at the video
Sounds simple, now I try to convert the PDF file in another format and see what happens

Guy Fawkes was a plotter and look where that got him.

Yes other programs can open .pdf and muck around with them but (imho) best conversions from .pdf are done with Ghostscript and it's gui Ghostview.
Go to
GSview Readme
and do exactly what it says for your system.

Once installed start by forgetting about anything else it can do and, having opened the .pdf file, go to File/Convert and choose format and resolution.

Doesn't Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator have the capabiltity to import and convert pdf to jpeg? I thought I did that once. Someone with a better brain than I may know for sure.

Illustrator or Acrobat can do that, sure, after all pdf is made by Adobe. But their stuff is way to expensive to use it just for a few simple tasks. Don't get me wrong, Photoshop is awesome, but IMHO it's juts to expensive for casual use.
