Ah come on now. You guys are embarrassing me. Seriously though - I appreciate the kind comments.

I'm kicking myself for not changing out that weird wood pattern for real wood textures like yours
Ron - I just used a brown Pitt artist pen (brush tip) to draw overlapping lines on the existing part. It makes for a fairly good wood effect.

Incroyable is right. Makes me feel I could climb in and fly the thing.

Looking forward to seeing what else you do with this model, Douglas.

No fair using real aircraft parts!
This is suppose to be based off of a paper kit.
Excellent job...true craftsmanship!
Do show more!

Thanks again guys.

OK heres some more. I have the fuselage skins just about finished and you can see the tail control cables restrained by a mini clothes pin. I am using fly tying wire for this. The top forward fuselage piece (Part #21) did not fit very well. As I was painting it anyway I just made my own. It looks OK and fits much better.

There is a minor twist in the fuselage but I hope it is not too noticeable.

Even putting glasses on, I couldn’t find any twist in the fuselage. It’s far more than OK. In other words, metallic texture on the nose and fabric covered fuselage are well replicated. I want to hop in on the cockpit.

That fuselage looks incredible as does your custom piece. It always amazes me to see captured aircraft with the *wrong* roundels on 'em `I don't see the twist at all!
