I just received a copy of "Fokker Eindecker in action". It is a Squadron/Signal Publication that I believe is out of print (didn't find it on Squadron's website...had to order on Amazon.com).
I thought these pictures might help with the interior details and maybe rigging. |

Thanks. Your pictures confirm my suspicion that the cowling fairing plates in the model are not quite the right shape. They look OK they are just not 100% accurate.

B, I tend to agree.
I notice you are a bit further a long than I am. I'll be watching to see how you cope and I'll do my usual "Fit darn you fit!!" :D |

I have had no fit problems with the model so far other than the inside panels and the position of the seat. I was pleasantly surprised with the fairings. I pre-shaped them with my rolly-stik and they fit perfectly no trimming required.

Great reference, CT!!
I like the versions of the E.III with that glove compartment that ate the instrument panel. Ha Ha |

Well, I'm on hold for a couple of weeks. I have my Nephew and Niece here visiting. Between my new job and these two it doesn't leave much time to work on my bird. I am keeping up on the postings, though. Should be able to hit it hard mid July.

Looks like we will both be entering a fruitful building period in late July. I look forward to seeing more of this excellent model.
Meanwhile, enjoy the kids. I look forward to visits from the grandsons this summer. Don |
