Fokker eiii
Here is my Eiii, with out rigging.
Things I noticed/changed etc. 1- Added strip at top of fuselage by cocpit. 2- Added spacer behind "french" engine. (did not know of better ones) 3- Added fillets to under carriage and rolled from 20# paper not card stock. 4-Built propeller correctly, kit would have one blade backwards. 5- Added pieces behind firewall (17) to attach cowl fairing (23) easier. The rigging will happen. I have some 0.005" (0.13 mm) monofilament to use. Anyone have other suggestions? |

Very Nice - it is good to see another person taking up the Challenge. What are you planning to use for the rigging.

Very nice build. Which kit is it built from?
I've switch to shaved down carbon fiber rods for rigging and posts on my models. Advantage is it never sags. It can be cut extremely thin (hair thickness) without losing it's strength. Even when bent almost in half it will spring back completely straight. Downside is it's black, and hard to keep a constant diameter when slicing it. There's a photo of me slicing a rod on my USS Onondega build thread. |

To Knife & B-Manic_ This one is the 'basic' first download. No name that I can find. Very similar to "naval-a6" but less detail.
To B-Manic_ The plan is to use 2lb monofilament fishing line, it is 0.005" (0.13mm) diameter. George |

Hello,
about item 5, I use rigid piano wire in 3/10. I buy them in RCmodélism shop. For 1/33 it's not the good scale but it's the finest diameter I find in rigdr wire and the résult is acceptable. Adisias. |

Yes, I like piano wire also. Thinnest I have now is 0.4mm (0.015"). It is good for 1/24 scale but too big for 1/33. I am looking for 0.010" but no luck at local stores. The mono filament is a very nice size if it does not sag too much, will find out soon.
