Tarmacs for dioramas
You guys might take a look at Jan kyptop's F-104 pics. I did, and immediately noticed a super sweet tarmac under one of His masterpieces.
Jan mentioned the pattern came from a modeler's forum. I did a bit of snooping around and found some cool stuff. Here is a link to a thread about printable tarmacs and designing them. There are quite a few large high res Carrier decks and tarmacs. They are posted as free downloads by the designers themselves. Great find, Mike. For anyone interested, there are also helicopter pads and Russian hexagonal tarmac sections. Most are 1/48 scale but there are links to 1/32 scale stuff further in the thread. You will also find some good information on real dimensions if you want to design your own.
