To get this model you either have to be GOOD at cryptic puzzles.......or be a member of the super secret UHU adolation society, unfortunately that club doesnt meet on this site!

There's a lot of new ref pictures based off the newly found original model. I did pick up Uhu's when it was available and it's sitting somewhere in my digital stash, so I can't comment on how well they compare now. On the other hand I was working on a version many many years ago, using just photoshop and trigonometry and ending roughly at 1/72 scale. The new pics did confirm some design decisions I made about the cockpit windows back then. I finished the cockpit deck, but the passenger deck was such a bear I kind of stopped there. I'm using Blender now and there's so many new refs, I might take it up again.

The real model refs of the StarshipModeler forum are:
2001 A Space Odyssey Hero Screen Used Aries 1B Trans-Lunar Space Shuttle
Kubrick's Aries 1B - Cinefex Blog
2001: ASO – ARIES 1B – Detailed Photos by and from Gene Kozicki (over 100 pics there)

Attached: pics from my old model (about 7-8 years ago)

Reviving an old topic here, but I just found an Aries-1B paper model kit for sale here:

https://spacefalco.com/collections/s...ts/3d-aries-1b

Only, isn't this UHU02's design? Is this legit? Or is someone else pirating the design, printing them up and selling them?

that is correct, from the looks of the site, which is powered by shopify, the site is run from Asia, some of the grammar and spelling tip me off.

It looks very much like Alfonso's shuttle (AXM Paper Space Scale Models).

Lets all buy one...or six...all at once...
tie up his ordering system (if possible),
but don't pay for them.
Is there someway to do this and mess up his checkout?
Can we just be a big pain?
