Boeing X-37B
I wasn't aware that the Boeing X-37B had been in space for the past seven months totally unmanned and landed remotely like the Russian supply ships do.
Glad to see that the U.S. has a (hopefully) a viable successor to the soon-to-be retired shuttle... Here's the article: BBC - Newsbeat - Secret US military spaceplane lands in California And here's the fine looking model designed by Justin M at the Lower Hudson Valley website (you have to scroll down a lot): The Lower Hudson Valley Paper Model E-Gift Shop - Download - Post Apollo Terry |

well yes, one night shortly before its release, my paper model of the 1:1 scale spy pinhole camera that was on the 37b was mysteriously wiped off my computer on the same night that I got a text message at 3:00am saying "knock it off" |

amazing to think it was up long enough that I forgot it was still up there.
looks like the X-34 might be getting a revival too, and may one day actually fly. one more X-Plane to strike off the list! Thanks Robin

I live about 40 miles from where it landed.
I was wondering if I might hear the sonic boom when it came down, but I didn't hear one, |

Bet it had already transitioned to sub-sonic by time it got to your "neighborhood".
