Apparently, there's a complete zoo in that style

From the site: Zzzoolight

Edit:

I found that the designer of these lamps is Ramin Razani, designer of kirigamis, and author of books on the topic.

Other creations by him:

Wow, that's excellent! Thanks for finding all that information. My son wants the 'sitting' elephant (not sure why that is important). Maybe I could figure out how to 'mod' the standing version.

They did look like paper at first ---and pretty awesome lit up too. If I can make one sitting ---I may add an LED to illuminate. That soft-glow looks like a great night-light idea.

I like the head on the wall elephant idea too

A template, or at least a photo of the back side of the lamp. Maybe that would be enough to reproduce the model. Seems difficult to locate them though, I haven't found either. :(

The 95 is for that sitting down elephant,

all i found was on one of them contacts on the main site was one that had pdf and on it was a photo of the parts in the kit and really it is really nice looking. I downloaded that last night to have a read to practice my French.

i saved the photo, I bet my life on it if my brother in law bought this he would still be going nuts about reading instructions to assemble lol

That is a nice pic of the kit, you can almost make out how the parts are cut and fit..
The sitting part is cut into the almost one-piece design...
The ears might be a separate piece to the head and body...
