I actually thought the B&W was a real picture until I looked closer at the canopy.

Hi Chris,
You're unselfish sharing and contributions are so appreciated, words cannot describe my sincere appreciation. Your renditions of the aircraft pictures really make your aircraft come alive! The same as StevO, I also thought the B&W picture was the real deal... GREAT.... no…. AWESOME job Chris!!! Again, there aren’t enough words to describe my gratitude for everything……………… ;-) |

Well, but the "North Korean" La-7 is in fact a Czechoslovak one...

So much for my Korean "expertise" . . . and eyesight.
When was this insignia used? The traditional three-part Czech roundel seems to have been adopted early on after WWII. Don |

Don Boose: Exactly since 1945. The Czechoslovak air forces 1945 - 1950 were a motley of various Soviet, British and German WWII types (the latter incl. Me 109 made also in the Czechoslovak Avia and Aero factories). Then the famous MiG 15 and other Soviet jets came, since early 50s made in hundreds pcs also by the Czechoslovak aircraft industry. Greetings from Czechia. dedek
