Herr Ponytail

Would you mid sharing the addresses of the paper model forums you are aware of. I know of 2 English language forums and a blog, one French, and two German ones. I would be gratefull to learn of others. From time to time I have stumbed across Spanish language sites, some are very impressive and seem to have as high a standard of modeling and moderating as some of the best eastern european sites, others seem to be little more than places to post scanned materials.

Thanks

John,

Take a look in our Links section, and click on the Forum link, and you will get a list of forums which are out there.

Rickstef:

It took me almost as long to find the Links section as it did to figure out the password for UHU-san's card model library. How do you expect us to find it, when you have so carefully hidden it in plain sight.

Thanks for the pointer.

You realize of course that you have now glued me to the computer terminal for at least the next six months, while I explore all those new to me sites.

With the loss of Kartonmodell coming up is there a chance or way of bringing on board the top 10 or 20 build threads so they are not lost foever

I did Google translation of the "farewell and thank you" posts at Kartonmodell, and got the impression that it might reappear as a non interactive "magazine style" paper model internet site.

Apparently, the moderator of a forum hosted in Germany assumes a great deal of legal responsibility for what is posted there, particularly if minors have access to the web site. They are not permitted to see many things.

There is a chance that the build threads will continue, but the social interaction, commentary and feedback, and chance to exchange greetings and ideas directly with our European counterparts will no longer be available.
