The link is a site that Billy originally posted.
Look up about 6 posts.

And Billy wasn't kidding!
I just opened this Snowmobile RF-8-GAZ-98 model
and it almost looks like an Halinski kit!

It's all Greek (Russian) to me.
How do you register?

Did you want me to fill in your name and info too?

Yes the site is in Russian.
Its all Russian to me too! ...and I don't read Russian either.

...but with a little effort, you can generally spot similar things on various websites and blogs
...and with a simple search, there are many many translation tools on the web.

Translators for text and entire webpages.

Just takes a little bit of effort.
To get those free things.
This isn't UHU level effort...just a little bit of effort.

"Sometimes ya gotta do some of the work yourself" I always say.

To get back on topic....

Since no-one has mentioned yet Agence Eureka, I'll post it now

Agence eureka
Patricia has rescued lots of wonderful things in her site! And usually offers them in very good quality.

Here's just a small nice example: Citroen 2CV

But my most favourite of all her site is this one: Automobile Moderne

PS: Billy, that Russian site is very nice. I joined and the models are wonderful. I've had problems with one of them because of the Russian characters in the file names, but once changed to Latin characters they worked perfectly. Incredible models indeed.

well apparently someone didn't like my last post...

I apologize.
It wasn't meant to be mean.

But to be honest, it wasn't too hard to figure out a way to register and download a free model
...even though the site is in Russian and I can't read Russian.

And if I can do it, any idiot can do it

...and we shouldn't have to keep doing all the work
just because someone can't find an easy route to free stuff.

Thumbs up

Again back on topic....
I also love tanks and AFV of WW II in small scale.

Nobody mentioned Exclusive Models yet:
http://www.exclusive-models.org/Exclusive-Models_Homepage.php

For me the best detaild and accurate paper models in this scale I ever found. I wish they would bring out one model each month !

You're right Dave, Apparently, you can put just about anything in there. I used Dave's name and home address and just generated a temporary e-mail address. A fictitious City and State, and POOF, instant access. I don't feel comfortable giving my name, Street adress, City and State and e-mail to Russian websites yet. So, apparently, I can't name a Russian State or City without having a map in front of me, and they can't either!! Registry with name and e-mail should be enough.

when filling out forms, pay attention to the "required" items
usually indicated with asterix

an address is not necessary to register on that site

Dammit Dave, I was just about to edit my post to reflect that but you beat me to it!! Oh, by the way, I didn't really use your name either, I figured you knew I was joking but thought I better post that in case others didn't.

use of AirDave's name if lieu of my own was only for entertainment purposes and should not be done at home..........Zathros

Hmmmm this is taking the thread well off topic but I cant help but wonder if maybe a thread of its own on how to navigate certain difficult sites would be helpful? I know there are several out there that have A LOT to offer but can be really tough to figure out. Sometimes google translate is your friend - sometimes it hoses ya.....
