NASA probe Messenger
For the first time, a vehicle from Earth orbits around Mercury. Messanger Started on August 3rd 2004 and after 7.9 billion kilometers / 4,9 billion miles it successfully achieved orbit around Mercury at approximately 9 p.m. EDT Thursday.

Nice one Claus, just reading today about the mission. Will be interesting to see what is discovered about mercury. Only Pluto to go then.
