Sixtieth birthday of the 2CV CITROEN

Do you know this car?

It is about the 2CV CITROEN which one celebrates this year the 60th birthday in EUROPE.

It was presented officially to the “ SALON DE L’AUTO de PARIS in 1948

. I thus propose to you on this address http://www.brusino.com/ecology/buildacitroen.html
a series of 2CV sedans, trucks, vans as well as derived cars (even frame and even engine) These models are presented by type, year and color…
These models are simple to realize (they are in fact boxes)

To download them model, select the mitres:

Personally, I have a DYANE 6 of 1972 which I use every day. It posts 67.000 km with the meter. Here a photograph of my car taken during the last Weekend during the SANCY DEUCHE (a tourist rally and an international concentration which took place in my area)

I am carrying out a pickup like this one

There exist more complex models to realize than you will find on these mitre

Good recreation:D:D:D

Those are some nice looking cars. Some would look good if done up in a Woodie scheme, although the owners would probably want them to be restored as close to the original as possible.

Many thanks for this nice tribute to the 2CV -- one of the all-time great little automobiles.

These cars are derivatives of the 2CV
MEHARI

AMI 6 ET AMI 8

And Dyane , Acadiane...

Here documents which I carried out for the exposures: to explain what are these cars

The engine is twin-cylinders flat cooled by air of 375 Cm3 in the beginning, then 425 cm³, then 435 cm³, and finally 602 cm³, (and the power passed from 9 HP/DIN ( 1948) to 35HP/DIN (1980))

Thumbs up

I offer free download (not a pirate site) a 2Cv cutting
http://bibigreycat.blogspot.com/2009/09 ... -1954.html

I told you 60 years of the 2CV
Here are some links you will see our "temporary museum".
Album photos - 60 ans de la 2CV (Lempdes) - La page de Cadichonne
Diaporama - Le club des Amis de la 2CV

Our club (Club des Amis de la 2CV) has won a national success.
See you in 10 years! (70th Anniversary)

I had the chance to operate one of the last 3 pre-production models (1939) still exists in the world. Other models of pre-production had been destroyed for the German army could seize it. The Citroen 2CV was a rival to the VW Beetle ...

Late July and early August 2009, I left with a fifteen voitures2CV and derivatives of our club to go to Czech Republic. We have done almost 4000 km) across France, Germany and Czech Republic on the occasion of a Meeting Global 2cv (almost 4,000 cars coming from all corners of the world ...)
My car of 37 years has been the outward and return safely. A model of total safety

Great pics. They bring back fond memories, there are still a few driving round Bedford, even a van version!

I was lucky (old) enough to drive one some years ago - great fun, once i'd sorted out the gear change!

Wow that does bring back memories! I used to spend almost every weekend at my Grandmother's in a little town in Alsace back in the late '60's-70's.
Didn't they call them Deux Cheveaux? (2 horse) or something like that? My apolgies for my French. It's really terrible from lack of use

Ron

Yes, this car really called mythical "Deux chevaux" ( "Two Horses") and his conduct (gearbox) can cause annoyance to people who are not accustomed :D:D:D

I almost expect to see Peter Sellers stepping out of one of these.

racing with CV2's

i even (a couple of years back) saw on the Eurosport channel a clip from England where they were actually racing with these cars :D:D:D
the best part from that clip was two guys jostling each other out for the best position after a long straight were car number two was slipstreaming behind the first one and overtaking him in the corner at the end of the straight
i almost fell to the floor laughing when i saw it
