Not free, but maybe interesting
On ebay, there is a new seller called paperairforce, who is advertising P51D and a P47B paper models for $35.00 each. They look like they are supposed to be adaptable to fly, even with radio control, but they still look accurate to me.
They are 1/12th scale! |

They DO look very good. I'd be tempted to order one of those just out of curiosity.
Here's a link to their website. They have a Corsair and Warhawk coming soon, too...... Paper Airforce |

Beautiful planes. Think I'd rather stick with the old balsa frame, sticks, and tissue, though.

If I build one of these, it won't be for RC, it'll still be a static model. It would break my heart to spend all that time building it just to watch it nosedive into the ground.

Those planes are massive!! I would think they would be "heavy" planes for R/C but they advertise them as in the "Park Flyer" range in size. Of course without seeing one in person, who knows. Seems expensive but the size and detail kind of balances it out. I think it (they) are really nice looking models with a decent price, considering the size, detail, and their uniqueness. I bet they end up being collectors items.
