Two rare seaplanes on eBay

Ahoy seaplane fans. Not free, but up for auction, which happens about once every other year. Two big jet seaplane models have appeared on eBay that are from the height of the Cold War.

MON (Polish Ministry of Defense) 1:33 Beriev 10 (on US eBay) at auction number: 320770181930

JF Schreibers 1:50 Martin Seamaster (on German eBay, at eBay - eine der größten deutschen Shopping-Websites) at auction number: 150673648062

Cheers,

Interesting links. I also did not know about these. But the bidding is still open and it's already a pricey market. But thanks for the insight.

Hmm. The BE-10 looks almost like a cousin of the Martin P6M. I wonder if I can find a 3-view.

There's a 4-view here; Beriev Be-10 - maritime patrol flying-boat

This page would be useful, too; http://www.flankers-site.co.uk/modl_be-10.html

Talking Re: Beriev BE-10

With a nickname of webfoot985, you probably have guessed I am into seaplanes........Retired from splashing around these days, and writing a seaplane blog.

For more info on the Martin P-6M Seamaster jet seaplane bomber which was of a similar usage the BE-10 go to
Fastest Seaplanes in the World Part 1 | My Seaplane Passion

While there checkout the VERY UNUSUAL seaplane I operated for 8 years - a Grumman Agcat on floats doing tourist work.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking forward to some comments.

I'm always looking for seaplanes to add to my line. First the Buccaneer, then the Seamaster...they're kinda addicting.

Hello Webfoot. The AgCat on floats is really wonderful. Looks like it was a lot of fun to fly. Is there even an AgCat paper model out there?

The Beriev 10 published by MON is a really curious model. I built a downsized version in Red River Silver paper a year ago, (A curious Soviet seaplane). The model itself has no indication of what it is beyond "Jet seaplane (in Polish). In the discussion thread, we figured out that it clearly represents the Be 10, but looks like it was made from visual sightings, not from a formal plan - some of the details are just not quite right. But it is big and solidly designed.
