Translations of Foreign Sites

greeymalkin, the reason window can't translate is the default encoding not set correctly to read the site. If you using Safari(I don't know about Firefox but should be the same I guess), go to Preference, change the "Default encoding:" to "Japanese (Shift JIS X0213)" that should work(it works for me) and if that no go then try other Japanese sitting. After new sitting, open the site again and it will be in Japanese and allow you to translate to English.

I changed the Default Encoding in the Safari Preferences to the Japanese JIS one. It changed all the printing into Japanese. Zathros is correct about needing a program to now translate the English translation. Google's translation is the best one I've found, so I continue to use it. I understand a phrase here and there with the available online translations. It seems as though they could be made to give just a little better translation. They do quite well with translating Spanish to English on their sites.

That translation was the original motivation for my first post in this thread. I do think a better job could be done, either that, or Google is having a big joke played on them, (and us too)!!
