Answer Junyo Question

Hi,

I stumbled upon a link to what appears to be the Answer Junyo kit on sale. I was wondering if the price of the kit is reasonable as it appears to be out of stock on the Answer site. It is listed here for USD $28.99 and shipping seems to be free. I have never heard of Dinodirect until today and a search for complaints about them indicates there are many, but then, there are also many people who are happy with their service too.

If this link is a problem, please remove it:

http://www.dinodirect.com/paper-model-second-world-war-aircraft-carrier-currency-CAD.html?cur=USD

Interesting how the kit is described as a "fashion model" and that having a "stylish and good looking aircraft carrier paper model is essential"...

It appears that they may have other kits available "on sale" and if you purchase multiples of the same model, you can save a few dollars per kit

Thanks for any help. Ric

I don't think this is a site to be trusted... I viewed 2 kits listed there and they have the same description. And weirder, they show 2 different kits on the German carrier page. It shows a bigger scale model in the first (and third mirrored first) image and than the JSC 1/400 german fleet. (i think).

Also, it is odd they don't say either the name or the publisher.

Shopbot is a site with a similar format to Ebay...
Originally an Australian site, they have now popped up in other countries.
Not Auction, but direct sales.
Merchants are companies and small businesses (including private sellers) who set up "shop" there and selll their wares.

Dino Direct is one the "merchants" and they have a large collection of Paper Models for sale.
I am making an educated guess that Dino Direct is a Chinese company due to the fact that ShopBot is originally Australian
and because of the broken English wording in their listings.

And I would say every one of their models is pirated.
For example, you can buy Uhu's 2001 Space Pod*. (*its called the "Interesting Emulational Cosmos Robot Paper Model")
Its on sale right now for about $10.
(I can't confirm from the listing if its a digital or printed model, but since its free shipping, it might just be a digital download)
and Uhu's latest Das Boot U Boat is available too...for $16

There are many models I recognize from the Internet.
I would suggest people start looking through ShopBot...do a Paper Model search,
and see if there are any of YOUR models there!
