I get the same Threat detected warning, But also get a "Cannot Connect" to site error
Is the site down or is that my Avast blocking the site?? How do I change the settings? I checked again, and opened the 'more details' button. It said Avast Blocked the site, because the site was Hacked and sending Malware

I just went there and I use Firefox 8.0 and Norton 360. The site came up absolutely fine, with no errors or anything. Tons of stuff there. Norton is afraid of everything. I think this is a false positive.
@Arliv, you should have your friend contact Firefox and find out what the problem is, better yet, his .ISP provider, or the person who manages or whoever did his website, though, in all honesty, I tried about 20 of the links and nothing got flagged there either. Again, this is just what happened to me. It is not set in stone and I probably am completely wrong. |

I tryed both my Maxthon Browser, which I use to come here, And Firefox.
Avast Blocked on both. I disabled Avast for 10 minutes and opened the site. I just closed out the page, then tried to open it again with Avast having re-activated while I was there. I can open the page For now, but do still get the warning & Blocked page notice, even though the page did open. I will try tomorrow after shutting off the PC to see if Avast remembers allowing the page to open or not.

AVG does not throw up any warnings (and it's very sensitive normally).

But which version of AVG?
I had AVG on other PC's but could not trade the Pro for the Free version. The PC was not in my name as I got it Second Hand. Even after completely un-installing the Pro version, I could not get it to accept the Freeware version, so had to choose Avast. I am thinking of adding AVG freeware now that I had to do a complete hard-drive replacement/format/re-install, but am not sure how the 2 would work together

Can't find a definitive reference on what lframe-inf does. Sounds like it's adware hacked onto the site - something that just doesn't fit in the virus scanners' "normal" profile. Jon Leslie had something like this at Lower Hudson Valley a while ago; adware that was getting added to his web page code. He got 'er fixed after some fiddling.
Tom - would probably be a good idea to let the site's author know about the problem. They'll probably find some odd code down at the bottom of the page. Yogi |
