Thanks for the update. Checked my mail and have this message from the Webmaster:

Expected San Salvador model availability was after 24th of Dec.
Unfortunately engineering has hit a snag and the model is delayed at
least a month. We want to release the best model possible. I've
updated the info on the webpage.

At least now we know.

This is pretty cool! I've always loved the Age of Sail; such a romantic time! Can't wait until January 31 to download this.

Note that the site has updated the availability date of the ship - it now says after Jan 31.

It still says January 31st, but I still can't download anything...anyone have an idea of what is going on?

Update:

I received a VERY prompt and pleasant response to my email:

We apologize for the continuing delay with this offering. We have a volunteer engineer who has been designing this model. Unfortunately, he has yet to complete the project. We are still waiting on the final product.

In the interim, we’re going to be making available a poster online as a temporary product. I’ll let you know when we finally get the paper model available.

I am happily awaiting notification of when the model might be downloaded!

I wonder what the poster might be of, perhaps the San Salvador?
