Very Unusual Japanese Zeros

I ran across these model pages at an art blog site. Apparently the artist likes both planes and fancy patterns, so he decided to combine the two. The images seem to be intended to illustrate the set that's for sale, but the downloads are 720x512, which ought to be big enough to build. It looks to me like the model parts are all there on each page, too. I guess this is for the WWII airplane modeler who thought he had everything.

Quite definitely dollars but the $800 is for the set of eight prints at 11x17" size...art not model prices...

I thought that was kinda steep, too, but, hey, how do price "art"? Last nights episode of Nova was about an 11x17 (or so) painting for which a guy was offered $80 million and turned it down. Of course it might have been painted by Leo DaVinci, but...

Amazing what happens to someone's mind when they do recreational drugs once too often (I'm referring to the price).

I agree that some of the artwork on models is exceptionally fine. Look at the work on E-cards, GreMir, Stahlhart, Fiddler's Green, etc. I sometimes print out things and pin them to my wall because of their quality. But, IMHO, $800 for any obvious card-model is way over-board. Maybe it was a typo?

The model is not all there, missing a lot of stuff like landing gears, cockpit, formers, engine... I'm guess the model is no smaller then 1/48, maybe in 1/32. No telling how many pages per models either. 100 bucks per model is a hight, but if it is limited high quality printed job then I guess so. I paid well over 100 bucks for a out of print anime book before, if one is into that stuff then it is worth it to that collector, but I would want to see the prints in person first and maybe talk to the artist too, see his/her other creations before I can tell if I am willing to pay the price or not, not that I thinking buying it. The artist did a great job tho, I should try that too. I do agreed with dell, it could be in Yen, translations mistake.
