Simple Hut On Piles In 1/72 Scale

It is a simple model, in just one page, something about 1/72 scale, but fits nice to 1/87 scale. I think in make a little village in the jungle in the future, with five or six of this huts and a palisade around them. Ideas will be very wellcome!

Thumbs up

Maybe simple, but looks the part ! A WWII diorama comes to mind... POW camp perhaps, some jungle with a downed aircraft, certainly has many possibilities. Nice design

I am going to make a cutfile for this. How did you color the insides?

I am condidering a trick I use often, gluing an inverted print on the inside, something easy to do with the perfection of a cutter. On the other hand, black marker works too...

Thanks, peter taft, Vermin_King , Uyraell and OldSchoolDM for your nice words.

To OldSchoolDM :
You are right, I use black markers in the insides.

Greetings from Brazil for all of you!

Mauther

I would think this is the best for this model. Looking at your other builds, I think you would be happier with the results from that method than just darkening the inside.

Now you need a tiki statue or two.

Mods!

I built it last night (I have cutfiles, but I had to rearrange the art and borrowed some a texture from FDG, so I don't think I should share them just yet.)

I did the mods I suggested, and made the hut a playable interior!

Mostly, this just lets me load in some smaller figures and/or props.

I only wish I'd done the backside of the legs as well to give them strength - got impatient (it was late.) Next time for sure.

Also, this is a bit small for modern D&D figures. If I make another, I'll increase it probably 25%.

I actually love the look of this simple-textured model. Thanks Mauther

That is absolutely excellent. Isle of the Sea Drake is coming together. I like those standing stones.
