If you look at some of his earlier models he has a scale of "1:60 scale/WSAM=100%"

WSAM is the scale that Fiddlers Green models are/were released by Chip Fyn. WSAM stands for "Worlds Smallest Airplane Museum", and to make the scale consistent, Chip picked 1/60 scale.....why? Ask him.

I think that at one time, Stahlhart did designs for FG and decided for his own reasons to continue the 1/60 scale for his later designs.

Now, I'm not positive about this but to those that have done a couple of FG models will possibly agree with my explanation.

Confused? Maybe someone else can 'splain' it better than I did.

The instructions can now be downloaded, simple mistake with big effect, that happens sometimes with self-build HTML.

As Swampfox already mentioned, that Scale was inspired by the FG WSAM-standard, because when I started to design models it was inspired by their work. I have never designed for FG besides repaints. While 1:60 may not be a common scale like 1:33 or 1:48, I think it's a good compromise, because it won't let bigger models become too gargantuan and small models too tiny. It's a good scale to scale up or down from. I also like it, because its slightly bigger than the plastic modelling world's 1:72, which I always found just slightly too small.
