New Disney Castle.

There's a new Castle at the Disney Experience site (and quite a few other things I've not seen before). It's the Disneyland Paris version of Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

I'm looking forward to getting into this one. It's 29.5" high, 71 pages of parts and 41 pages of instructions.

Allow a bit of time to download ... it comes in 21 separate files.

Johnny.

I've had the Paris castle on my harddrive for about a year, but I'm glad you mentioned it. I just noticed I only had 20 files and had skipped one. I guess I'd have noticed if I had actually started building it. It's high on my MTB (Models To Build) list.

I haven't built the Paris castle yet, but have built the other one. Turns out nice. I used some cheap costume jewelry chain for the drawbridge.

Thanks for posting this, I didn't know Disney had paper models.

I'm sure the operators of the Disney Experience website would want mention that they are not actually "Disney". The site is not directly affiliated with the Disney corporation. DE is a fan-run site.

Nice Disneyland castle, SCEtoAUX. I like that you even gave it backgrounds. It makes me want to wish upon a star.

Err, sorry for resurrecting an ancient thread (Come to think of it ... No I'm not! ), but I couldn't think of a better place to ask my question ...

Does anyone know what happened to Robert Nava and his Disney Experience website?

Every reference I can find to them results in a 404 or can't find error page and my AVG virus protection sets off a klaxon alarm with a pop up which recommends an instant full computer scan.

Links from Papermau, Papercraft Square, and even Russian pirate sites all set it off as well. There's no offer to click to ignore warning and link anyway. I've tried 12 different dates on the Wayback machine, but they all give the same result.

My next step (Maybe next week if I feel brave enough) is to try some of these links with AVG switched off. but before I go that desperate, I thought I'd ask if anyone else has managed to connect, or has any knowledge of what happened? Did a new Disney CEO decide to wield the big stick? Is Robert still alive? I do believe that he was once a member of this forum, so is there anyone around that knows him personally?

I'm pretty sure I have those of his published models that I require safely archived (I've been checking my HDDs and can't think of anything missing that I want to build), but I would like to know if he ever finished designing the paper version of the 'Chicken of the Sea' restaurant, that used to be in Disneyland.California and now seems to have reverted to it's original name of 'The Jolly Roger' in Paris. I have a Pl**tic model of this, but I'd dearly love a paper one that could possibly be re-sized as required. I've loved this ship ever since I first clapped eyes on it in Peter Pan as an impressionable young lad.

Oh yes ... that is the plastic model I have, and no I don't want to sell it! Trouble is, it's so dang valuable now as a rare collector's item, I daren't build the dang thing either!
