Peter Davies-Garner's New 1:48 Scale Model
Hi John,
It is probably only an interim show or other of the model-to-be, if it is the same one? We both know that an expert modeller like Peter wouldn't leave anything to chance, so I'd guess he has probably been delayed with his work, if the objective was the 100 years memorial of the sailing (or sinking). Furthermore, it seems he is not writing any more posts on the TRMA site (since Dec 16th, 2011): "New pics below. Further rooms need to be fitted out particularly in the 2nd Class stern area. This has given me extra time. My folks in the workshop are busy laminating the female-mould for the hull while I'm building the reciprocating engine. Still a lot of detail to be added. I really have a lot to tell you but this is my last post to TRMA. Check out the main forum for details but you want to hurry - " Here is the link to the build thread on TRMA: TITANIC FORUM - 1/48th scale Titanic Perhaps there has been a conflict with the contractor - who knows? In any case, if it is up to standard with his first 1:48 scale model (below in Orlando, Florida) I am looking forward to seeing the completed build, whenever that will be. I am convinced it will be well-worth seeing. All the best, Bengt |

RMS Titanic, HMT Olympic, HMHS Britannic in 1:200 Scale
Hi Strk,
Sorry about the deviation from the main thread subject - please keep us regularly posted as this highly interesting SZKUTNIK project unfolds! This rendering of the HMT Olympic's steel plated hull looks MOST promising: Google T?umacz All the best, Bengt in Stockholm |

It looks like it will be a plate by plate attachment of the hull skin?
I am really going to enjoy the lunacy of that... John |

BIG Backyard Titanic Model
Hi Strk,
I don't mean to hi-jack your thread again but I just had to show you this BIG model - have a look at Stan Fraser's 1/10th scale backyard model of the RMS Titanic! Stan used two caravans he had in the garden as the base of his model, then a friend gave him an old shed to use as material, and another friend who was building a house helped him out with wood & nails. Incredible, isn't it? All the best, Bengt |
