tatebanko on eBay

It is a Bunraku scene - puppet theater with life size puppets and the puppeteers on stage as well, dressed in black to make them less conspicuous. It is a three sheet set, from the 19 Century, offered by a US seller who sells many woodblock prints. Kinda pricey too. Perhaps one of our Japanese literate members can figure out the Kanji writing and tell us what play the scene is from, and what publisher the prints are from. eBay item # 200749475120

Beautiful. Thank you for posting it. I can't buy it, but it is good to know there are still a few of those things available.
