1/350 Akagi
???????????????? - ????1/350????????-??????
Beautiful Akagi! Right now only the first part of the model is available. Lets hope it will be completed... its amazing. (Akagi is a WW2 Japanese Carrier, took part in the Pearl Harbour attack and Midway) Last edited by alex; 05-11-2012 at 10:17 AM. Reason: Clarification |

The built-up pic looks real nice and in that scale it won't be hard to find detail parts either...

I agree, the built up looks really nice. It's unfortunate that only a very small portion of the model is available. I haven't tried running the page through a translation yet, has anyone done this? Will the rest of the model be offered at a later date or even be for sail (see what I did there, a little play on words for all of you sailers out there)?

Here's the translation, we have 26 more parts to go.
<<Is the first of the "Craft of adults." Let's make a papercraft of 1/350 scale "Akagi" Japanese Navy aircraft carrier first aviation squadron. The total length of completion time are big-scale model of approximately 75cm. Print the deployment diagram according to the number of under, let's build to order with reference to how to assemble. Is expected to be completed in all 30 steps. Each step one by one, and will continue to publish a phased deployment diagram. In addition, since the conventional assembly instructions that can not be described in the paper craft beginners, can only be explained on the web. (※ complete sample photo is in development. Shall be published in the details may vary.)>> I've been waiting for this one for almost nine years now, but I didn't know it was going to be so big. Scott K. |

Thanks for posting the translation Scott. I was looking at the web site on my ipod touch so I wasnt able to translate it. I have never built a ship before (I am mostly an airplane guy), but I think I am going to have to give this one a try. I always wanted to build a carrier.

Does anyone have any idea why translated pages won't save as translated in I.E? All I get is the original. I've been getting around that by printing the translated instruction pages as pdf's, but it's still annoying.

I have saved all of the PDF files and also added the web page as a "Favorites", for the instructions.
This will be put on the shelf for a bit. I think if you pick up some PE and aftermarket items and some scratch building work on the side........this will turn out to be a very good model. Sam
