Ex-private obie bartlett: An act of uncommon valor

I was searching on the internet for WW2 era home front type posters and found this. here is a little info about it.
Texas native Obie Bartlett (1917-1993) enlisted in the US Army in 1940, and lost his left arm in the bombing of Pearl Harbor. After five months in the hospital and his discharge, Bartlett trained as a welder—a transition covered by newspapers throughout the country under the headline, “Pearl Harbor Victim Is Getting Revenge.” While Bartlett was employed at the California Shipbuilding Corporation, the War Production Board awarded him a Silver Star for home front service.
Hitler was massacring disabled people because he thought that they were a hindrance to society, but this man proved him wrong. even a man without a limb can do his part.
