Rigby Models
I don't know if this has been mentioned on the forum already, but Chip Fynn just released Rigby's ship models for all magic key subscribers at FG.

Just went there and he still has the gkiders amd Martin B-10. Aren't the Rigby models still under copyright? If in the public domain, shouldn't they be free?

Rigby models were done in the 30's and 40's so I don't think copyright applies. Chip making scans of some of Rigby's books available to his Magic Keys customers as an extra gift.

Chip is not selling the Rigby models, he is providing them free of charge for those who have magic keys.

Selected Rigbys, including the ships and automobiles, have been among the extras that Chip has added to his CDs for as long as I can remember. The extras have also included Nabisco(?) airliner gliders and other old time cereal box models.

Quite right, Don. I have all of those which I got when I purchased the CD collections some years ago. One of the great things about Chip is his willingness to provide public domain material to his subscribers free of charge.

There is absolutely nothing to stop you from selling a copy of anything in the public domain as long as you don't claim it is copyrighted. Many, many businesses sell public domain images and books.

Hadn't thought of it that way and you're right. Still, finding Rigby's things for free is difficult at best. Have a few, but even those are missing pages or sheets. Shame!

Might be worth breaking the bank open for this one. 1 month of Magic keys is $7.50, but you have to do it now. He will release 1 new book a week for 4 weeks. This week is SHIPS. Coming is SUBMARINES, SPORTS CARS and SPACE SHIPS. Unbelievable. Of course, the were punch outs, and so you have to guess where the die cuts were.
