Stahlhart 1:33 scale Zenith CH 801

Introducing my latest release:

The Zenith CH801 model was created for the charity organization Medicine On the Move, which operates Light aircraft in Ghana, Africa to provide the people in areas that are hard to access on the ground with medical supplies. In Ghana, they are training young African women to build, operate and maintain the very same plane that is depicted in the model.
The model is in 1:33 scale and features a detailed cabin and and optional detailed engine.

For more pictures and information, go here:

The model is available from here:

Design-wise, this aircraft reminds me of a Piper Cub stepchild, with a BushMaster (Cl or Ca 82??) Wing.

Certainly an unusual and interesting aircraft, Chris, and one I'm keen to learn more about.

Kind and Respectful Regards Chris, Uyraell.

Chris, another great little model. The writeup on the MOM page certainly illustrates how small and interconnected our world is. Once again, thank you for your generosity and sharing of your talents.

This is a most interesting-looking airplane. These humanitarian aviation units do excellent, and often difficult and dangerous, work. It's great that you are using your designing talent to recognize one of them.

I love the photos...for a moment I thought that was a real plane because of the background and then did a double take and realized it was the paper model!

Thanks

Thanks, Chris, for the great model. I was seriously considering a 701 until I came to the conclusion it would mean giving up card modeling, R/C flying, and Yukon Transportation Museum volunteer work for a few years to get it built. Did I mention it would cost a lot more than card modelling ?

Keep up the great work.

Regards,
John

Here are some pictures of my build for "Medicine on the Move." Because I live 20 miles from Oshkosh Chris asked me to build this for the organization and deliver it to them at the EAA Oshkosh air show in July.

It is not a beginner's kit but it went together as advertised and it's a nice, impressive model. Fit & finish is excellent. I put weights in the floats and cowl to keep it from sitting on its tail, and a ceramic magnet in the fuselage, behind the cabin, to attach it to the stand. (If I were doing it again, I'd use two dime-size ceramic magnets in tandem.)
