I have two of those sets. One has plastic collets and the other one has metal collets. Harbor Freight has a smaller knife set by Gordon that I really like. The collets are metal and the blades seen to be pretty good too.

Rule #1 for tools - buy quality. Price is usually an indicator, but you never really know until you get 'em and use 'em. Let us know how they work.

I still like the blades in the cheapy set but prefer to use better handles.
