ABC Magazine models

There are a million scanned copies of ABC paper models that have appeared in their magazine over the years. Is it legal to use them? If not where can one get permission to use them since they are not available for sale?

Good question. There are many I would like to use, but most I think are pirated. The only ABC models that I am reasonably certain can be used are Jan Rukr's. A month after they are in ABC, he posts them on his own site. I wouldn't know how to contact other designers. I'd like to hear the answer to this, too

Since they are not for sale and no one is profitng from it I don't see that there would be a problem. The only way one could obtain the model from the publisher is to subscribe to the magazine and these are long out of print. But who knows?

Jimbo from Welcome to Jimbo's papermodelworld used to sell loose copies of various ABC models, but he is currently in the Middle East for work, and has suspended his business.

but he was a very reliable source for ABC models, I bought numerous models from him

I have bought several original ABC models in the past, all of them out of print, sale for a long time....

Cheap prices, fast delivering, only the postage from Czech Republic could be harmfull....

Greetings from Czechia. This PaperModel.cz is a reliable source of ORIGINAL models directly from the old ABC issues - no copies. The prices are moderate (I do not know postage for postal items sent to your domestic countries), even very old models appear there time by time. You only should be patient and observe the server in a regular way.

I looked at the site, and it has many interesting models. But it is in Czech, is there an English translation available? Further, the price is in "Kc". Anybody an idea how much that would in Euro's?
