Got the first two. This is such fun each year. Is it a prohibited spoiler to mention what the released ones are? Now I need to check MAG's site as well.

Later -- just got #3 as well. I started trying to build the first model -- I've got the center structural box built. I'm a bit befuddled by the three small rectangular pieces -- that is, they will build into boxes roughly 4mm x 4mm x 27mm. One has two parallelogram sides, rather than being all square corners. My current theory is that I'm supposed to glue them on top of the box that I just built, to keep the sides from collapsing, but the parallelogram one has me scratching my head. Thoughts?

Anne,
Those are axles and one is done so you can have your wheels turned there are small squares on the center box that you need to cut out, and slip the axle boxes through here is my build of one of the advent gifts from last year, should help some Volkswagen Van, Or how do you build one of these streetpaper.de vehicles? Rick

Oh! Axles! Now it makes sense. I couldn't make the connection because there were three axles and it only needs two of them. The idea of an option never occurred to me. I claim involuntary stupidity due to the lingering effects of a bout with this year's flu. Many thanks, Rick.
Of course, this does mean that I may need to start over, since I didn't cut out the little squares before assembling the chassis box. No big deal there, though. |

So I did finish the first model -- I guess it's OK to say it's an Opel Rekord. The fit is impeccable, but my need for improvement in skill caused me to build it such that the wheels are uneven with only three on the ground. I'm not sure if I built in a chassis twist or just glued the wheels off-kilter. I made it with the axle that makes the front wheels turn a little to the left. I thought that would be pretty cool, but I now think it would have looked better with the wheels pointing straight ahead. I've been collecting the models day by day, so I'll probably try another one some time.

Oh, no! My wheels point right! Actually, that just means my front axle is inverted compared to yours. These are a lot of fun. Some cars that aren't normally modeled.

>Screech! Thump!< (sound of Vermin King's and my cars having a terrible accident because their wheels point opposite to each other!)

Both sites - streetpaper.de and racepaper.de have been down for two days. Do other members have difficulty in downloading Days 9 and 10, or know why?
