Christine

Go Modelling - 2012

Go right to the bottom of the web-page to find the download.

Enjoy ... I know I will ... Reservations about her character aside ... Christine was simply gorgeous. The epitamy of 50s fins'n'chrome. Even more so than the 59 Caddy in my mind.

Johnny.

That's the same one from BilsportJR
Bilsport Junior
My son has Christine and the 57 Belair sitting on the shelf above his bed.
Simple but nice models

Yep, they look identical, but this one is red instead of orange. The Bilsport website looks like it is worth exploring further. I've not stumbled onto that one before.

I've already started to modify it to give it a rudimentry chassis and proper wheels. I also plan to build it half size, and hopefully induce some curves into the body panels.

I'll post a picture when done, but give me a week or so. I'm retired and have got quite used to not working too fast nowadays.

I wonder if Cami might be tempted to work her magic on it?

Johnny.

I'm anxious to see what you do with it. Wayback Machine will be your friend with Bilsport site

Some nice looking simple models there - I especially like the Plymouth Cuba.

She's an evil temptress and I couldn't resist her. We've been intimate all day ... Just two more wheels to make, and then join body to chassis. So there should be pictures tomorrow ... maybe?

Decided to go with half size, so she's 4.5" long. Looking good so far, but I may have lowered the axle position too far. I don't doubt that Christine had lowered suspension, but I'm not so sure the Slammed look suits her.

There ya go ...

She looks pretty good on stage, but like all old filmstars, she's not so pretty in close up ...

Ignore the little interloper in the 1st photo. It's an Opel Corsa, just like my Wife's. No, I didn't shrink it ... that's the size it comes as. I just might try blowing it up x4 though. I certainly won't be trying any more in that scale, but yes, it's wheels do go round.

You know, I spent ages burnishing and creasing some shape into her sides, which does looks very effective in real life, but no matter what angle I shoot her from, the sides still look flat to the camera. Ah well, I supose it's like a working on a complex interior ... I know it's there. That's all that matters, eh?
