Old Time Radio Researchers Library
a friend showed me this site some of them arn't in good condition but it is something to listen to while paper modeling. they have shows like Amos And Andy, Abbott And Costello, The Bob Hope Show (1939-55), Charlie Mccarthy show known as The Chase and Sanborn Hour and thousands of others.
Enjoy

I love OTR. I have a little more than 3,000 of them.

You can find them in pretty good condition at
Old Time Radio : Free Audio : Download & Streaming : Internet Archive

Great collections of Gunsmoke, Barry Craig, Fort Laramie, X-Minus One. Pretty much whatever you can think of.

suspense!
orson wells shows-donovan's brain being my favorite
a bunch of old sci fi are there and horror
that must have been fantastic, sitting on your farm on sunday night, working hard all week, going to church and eating a big meal, then sitting around the radio in a storm.
listening to the creepiest stories ever made....

Best of all, they have the Lone Ranger Shows.
After building the Lone ranger's Frontier Town in paper, You can listen to the show and follow the movements of the Lone Ranger from building to building.

Didn't set out to build a collection of old radio shows, but somehow a collection's there, on both cassettes and CDs. I'll definitely check out the websites. And FWIW, I'll toss out the opinion that radio was the best medium for suspense/horror -- movies and TV are like watching stories through a big window of safety glass, so you know that you're not in danger. But you're right in the middle of radio dramas, because you create them in your own mind.

Until I was ten years old, radio was our only entertainment (other than a weekly movie on Wednesday evening at the PG&E construction camp recreation room). It is amazing how intense some of the suspense shows were...far more than TV. Maybe that is why "Chicken Heart" is my very favorite Bill Cosby routine. Thank you so much for this share....as if I didn't have enough clogging up my hard drive as it is. I guess I'm going to have to add my fourth 1TB drive to the system.

dont forget the anime movies tooo!!!!!!!!!!
8thman is a great story, and there are some really really good manga out there.
a dedicated cop rolls his car off a cliff after crooks try to chase him down.
he rolls right onto a mad scientisit lab who turns him into a robot with the brainwaves, or personality of the original cop, who then goes undercover and becomes 8th man when needed. apparrently there is a wife that is abandoned and haunted by 8thman trying to remember her, and he dies in a nuclear explosion.
a new 8th man has a spy/dogooder reporter on the bad side of the law, trying to expose illegal experiments on humans to make them mech criminals, he too falls into the hands of the mad scientist after ''dying'' in battle, and is recreated as the new 8thman, but there is one problem.....in order to create a new 8thman, the old one, brain waves and all had to be remanufactured and a merged complex mind was the result, kind of like if jack webb from dragnet and the punisher were merged and sometimes in conflict. its pretty good. and if they upgraded this to an adult jaundra it would be a great show!
