You could shrink the pages, but keep in mind, the kit has been designed to fit together at a certain scale.
While it might work, and you might get a reduced model in the end, you might want to visit Amazon or your local print shop, and see if you can get some Legal sized stock, and print on that.
That is what I have been doing with my kits

Ahhh! I didn't even think of printing on legal size.

Do you use paper and then an adhesive to get it onto card stock? And what weight card stock do you use?

I've printed out sheets 1-4 on 110 lb card. as far as the printing goes it all fit, but I was worried that the following pages might not all fit.

I also check out the warehouse deal page at amazon, usually there will be broken packs of paper available for less money than a fresh ream

Warehouse deals cardstock

I started building the Kongo a while back because it looks very similar to the ship I pre-commissioned. The U.S.S. John Paul Jones DDG-53.

i cheat and simply let my local quick print outfit print out the pages at the size i want on the card/paper i want.they charge me a dollar a page which is cheaper than buying card and using my own inks
