Japanese Print of Family Making a Paper Model
Japanese 19th c. print of a family putting together a tatebanko.
The print shows mother and two children looking at print, with partially cut out sheet, ruler and scissors near by. Unfortunately there is no hint about what kind of glue they are using. The print is somewhat suggestive as it shows the woman's naked foot. |

I am sorry but I did not make a note of where I found it. It was posted on one one of the Japanese print collections I stumbled across today.

To me, it looks like the woman's feet are growing out of her knees. Not sure what that's suggestive of . . .

Neat find, John.
At one time, the Chairman of the Department of National Security Strategy was a man named Robin Dorff. At his annual lecture he would come out on the stage on his knees to announce "Dorff on Strategy." Don |
