Doppelschrauben-Schnelldampfer "Kronprinzessin Cecilie"
Our friends at AGK have a nice ship model for us.
You can find it at Arbeitskreis Geschichte des Kartonmodellbaus (AGK) e.V.

I'm not into ships, but this kit certainly looks very nice.
And the photos of the built model are very good. What a good thing that AGK is saving this kind of wonderful kits

This is an amazing model. I somewhere have an SMS Emden from the same period. They are fun to build as while I read German I don't read the gothic script!!!

Just started a build of this ship kit. Printed on a4 it's about 64.5 cms long. At 215meters original length, not sure what scale I'm at

Did some cypherin' and figured that would be around 1/333 for the scale.

I would have but I chose to be lazy The upper and lower hull is done, just puzzling out the translated to English Instructions for the rudder at the moment. I originally intended to build it as a quickie then I found some super detailed large scale restorations of 1900s Flieschmann display models and now I want to add detail all over the place :P Rico |

I have had the original Olde German script instructions translated by a friend in the Paper Ship Models FB group, with edits by me.
I have it saved as a doc file on my OneDrive if anyone is interested, I'll link it here. I'll keep adding to the instructions as I build, since some tasks such as rolling the prop shafts aren't described. Rico |
