Kevin, that's a nice series of crawlers and trailers. May have to take a look at those.

Just to bump this thread up a bit. Just got back from this years Apache Junction Tractor and Engine Show. Unfortunately still no Cat 65s showing up, but the 2 Cat 60s did so got a bunch of detail shots of them in addition to what I already had. Will be awhile before I get this show loaded since I still haven't done last years. But here's a side by side of the 2 60s: the gray one is a 1929 and the yellow is a 1930 with LP or propane conversion. As you can see they were always evolving.

Good image. I like the background scenery, too, Wayne.

Thanks Don. The background is the Superstition Mountains, supposed home of the Lost Dutchman Mine. Here's the opening shot from last year's show, really different weather conditions.
Anyway enough sightseeing...back to the serious subject of tractors and crawlers. |

Any idea if the updated version has been released?
The original is no longer there. I get the error "Nothing Found" when I click the download link from the original posting over at Model-Paper Also, I do not see the kit in the "Tractors-Heavy Equipment" folder on the Thumb-Drive, or in my Paper Models Temp folder in the 'My Documents' folder either. Oh well. Hopefully the blank version is re-released soon.

OK, so I checked, after getting back to this thread by chance. And it is there, at the Models-paper.com, under "Free models". Marked 15 February 2015. To download it, you should register. Worked for me, so you should be able to get it. Otherwise PN me. - L.

I checked out the re-downloaded files, and it really is an outstanding paper model in 1/25 scale. There are loads and loads of 3D-images as an extra, you can watch the assembly of the model almost like a movie, if you look at the images one by one. Here's the final result:
The download is strictly black-and-white. But since the original was painted all grey, I believe you can print it on grey paper and get the advantage of not having to edge-paint. If any small details need color you could paint them in. The advanced modeler will have a field day of smudging the model with crayons or what not. The way to go about getting the model is to register on the front page of Model-paper.com in the Russian version. You do it in the left column a bit down. To find your way around I suggest you open the translated version in a new tab, parallel to the Russian version. Using the translated version as a map, you will find the Stalinets S-65 tractor as a free download under "Files" and then "Free models". Scroll down a bit, and there it is. Do the same in the Russian version where you have registered. The download symbol will appear in the right column (not visible in the translated version). The thing is, you can't register in the translated version, and therefore you can't download from it either. Hence this roundabout way of doing things. Leif
