Your post, Wyvern, made me revisit the Bestpapermodel site. It was only a couple of days ago I bought the winter livery of their Po-2 aircraft (see another thread here on this site), and now I found that they had added another aircraft I've been working on, the Avia BH-5. For a review of that new Bestpapermodels kit, see this thread.

I agree with all of the above about their site. The purchasing process is simple and lightning fast. I never have to wait for the email, but proceed to the download immediately after paying by Paypal. In effect, immediate delivery.

As for the site itself, it has been improved markedly. I notice to my joy that Robert Navratil has started a whole new line of 1/87 models, mostly military armoured stuff. This scale is a wise choice, since it makes the papermodels one builds compatible with a whole range of other OH scale stuff, not least good plastic figures.

The same goes for the majority of Robert Navratil's aircraft - 1/35 is a courageous scale, competing against the odd standard scale of 1/33. The 1/35 scale makes much more sense, as it makes the papermodels compatible with a range of good plastic models, not least figures.

On the site there is now also a nice scale calculator. Very neat!

But the main thing, of course, is the quality of the artwork in Robert Navratil's design. They are real pieces of painted art; still made on a computer, but not your standard mechanical computer 3D-effects at all.
