Plans of Ancient Weapons
Here are plans and drawings of ancient weapons based on descriptions in centuries old books. There appears to be enough detail here to build a paper model or even a working version.
Ancient Greek Artillery Technology: From Catapults to the Architronio Canon I think the site has one major historical error. The site's entymology of catapult = shield piercer is just wrong. Obviously catapult = cat pulp, either the result of hurling a cat, or what you had left of a cat after harvesting its tendons and cat gut for "catapult" springs. Now ... DON'T get me wrong, y'all!
I LOVE cats! Really ... ... barbecued ... pot-roasted ... fried (with CATsup) ... stuffed (YUMMY!) ... sauteed, with sweet 'taters ... and with it, some rosé, which goes very well with dark meat (squirrel) as well as white meat (possum) ... Not a big fan of dog biscuits, though ... they just don't taste like dog at all ... Hmmm ... sorry, never meant to hijack this thread, bless my heart! |
