Foldscope - A Paper Microscope
You may have seen this already, but did you know that they are giving away 10,000 of them. This is an amazing achievement that depends on a very small but very inexpensive spherical lens.

Thanks for the link Curt! I had seen something about this, but that link wasn't working. I signed up for the beta and volunteered to write a lesson or two. Hopefully I get picked. I would love to get these into the hands of my students.
