There are more typewriter models scattered around the blog. One or two of them might be older than the one you have stored away in the attic..

Remember, too, that the sounds were important in The Typewriter Song. If today's young people have never used typewriters, how can they understand that old novelty number?

And back in the day, there used to be typewriter art, too: You'd follow the instructions to type so many spaces and particular characters, and you'd end up with a picture of the Statue of Liberty or President Roosevelt.

Mighty fine find, John. Since I browse some blog sites that cater to wooden pencil enthusiasts, I'm not surprised that there is one for typewriter lovers.

i remember when in junior high, we must take this class.
I'm only remember the thumb are for the spacebar....left little finger for an A key... in the end i just use both my index fingers.... i got what you called a D- on that class.... lol... and the Carbon paper :D

Hoo.. i still remember it kacrut, i studied it at elementary. Left little finger for A, ring for S, middle for D, index for F and thumb for SPACE then the right hand for J,K,L, and SEMICOLON
but my generation use Macintosh (the old one, not the current Mac) instead of typewriter
i still remember being told to type asdfasdfasdf over and over

asdfasdfasdf....LOL!!.... Yup, remember that too.

i used to have (well not me, my father did hehe)Macintosh... the one with a small disk on the monitor, if you want to turned in on the monitor, you must insert the disk first... and the harddrive(??) are big as betamax video cassette, must insert that too LOL!!
