Very interesting experimental aircraft. NIAI RK-I





It had telescoping large sectioned wings that extended over the forward and aft wings. Those were extended by hand cranking in flight. I dont know if it ever flew or even transitioned wing sections in flight .

The picture for the model shows it in an intermediate position.

Not sure if the model can be built with the sections that can go back and forth for this kit. I would check into it when I come home. It will need modifications, but should be fun!

Wikipedia says it never flew.


Love the strange designs.


My vote for your next model is the Yak 36 VTOL aircraft.

I think I read somewhere that an American seaplane/fire fighting plane operator is buying several of the BE-200..

Agreed here too, I find the surprise of each new production to be more somehow, much more than knowing what is coming up. I know, odd way of putting it. Rather like a certain someone else who leaves us hanging until he starts building.

I'm intrigued by your "big and hard" comment but, as above, most happy to wait to be surprised when it is released...
