Jet engine models.

Preferably free but not essential. The guy who made the Merlin and DB 601 which I was shown the locations of had either a jumo 004 or a BMW 003 on his site that I cannot find anywhere. I find I am more interested in the engines than the planes they flew in but that's normal for Sheppey I suppose.

I suggest that you contact Leif Ohlsson on this forum by PM. I don't think he is the designer, but he does seem to know quite a bit about them.

Please let us know here if you succeed in getting the downloads, as I'm sure there willbe others interested in building these engines.

The links to the engine downloads on z.share.net are there (I used chrome browser to translate site to English), but the content seems to have been removed. Probably a paid for cache that hasn't been renewed.

Again, all I can suggest is to contact Leif. He probably has them archived and may well forward them to you.

Cool Engine details up the details

I always like a nice detailed engines on models when it makes sense. Certainly the Jumo 004 and other early jets are in that category.

My first attempt was a couple of years ago on my 1/33 scale Me P1101 in which I scratch built a Heinkel Hirth He S 011 engine which is wood mostly.

I would love to see a nicely detailed jet engine on other planes.

Thanks

Isaac

Alin Osaryk once published four images of a Jumo 004 engine he was working on, but no finished model ever appeared to my knowledge. Unfortunately. The work in progress was beautiful:

Alin seems to have discontinued his work on several other promising models, such as the Siebel. I guess we should be very grateful for what he has contributed, not least the three engines in our own downloads section:

Alin Osarik's Walther HVK rocket engine 1:33 scale - Part I

Alin Osarik's Walther HVK rocket engine 1:33 scale - Part II

Alin Osarik's Rolls Royce Merlin engine 1:33 scale

Alin Osarik's Daimler Benz DB601 engine 1:33 scale
