Weird. Definitely wasn't anything there when I first looked but just checked again and there they are. Maybe because I'm going through ebay.com.au and not ebay.com.

Hi All, I am new to this community, but just stumbled here (to research some models) after looking at the VERY suspicious seller " Yeung1688 " (Based in Hong Kong, yeung1668 has been an eBay member since Feb 04, 2015 )

I can't post the link since I am new here - but would I be correct in assuming it's the same seller being discussed in this thread?

Hi, Rockandroller. Welcome to the community! Yes, that is the same seller that we are talking about and by comparing the pictures posted seems to be a new avatar for Alice Papermodels, a notorious pirate, although with lower prices. Avoid.

I'm gonna' make myself unpopular around here ............ but if a published model is out of print and never to be seen again, I think some of the "pirates" are performing a useful service.

my opinion... if copyright are 'out of date' and not renew by the author, just like some very old papermodel book / kit that i read it here in forum somewhere.... but in this case the models(products) are 5 or 10 years old....I'm not expert on this... i just read it here LOL!

That may hold true for those models seen in the Vintage forum...early 1900s and before models.

But not on anything which this ebay seller was selling. Many models from large publishing houses 'go out of print'...but there are certainly hundreds possibly thousands (might be pushing it there) of copies still being sold back and forth between modelers which are still copyrighted.

bottom line is stay away from that seller.

... support the designer. a happy designer are paper builder best friend.
