New Kawasaki City Models

Links to new paper models from Kawasaki City have been posted on papermau:
PAPERMAU: Kawasaki Daishi Station Diorama Paper Model - by Kawasaki City

Here is the page with links to all the current offerings from Kawasaki City including the notorious diorama of the tourist boat attacked by a giant shark, and the fisherman's rowboat floating in a red tide. There is a tatebanko style model of an Edo period store.

City of Darkness-Hak Nam-Kowloon Walled City_3D Plans

A Japanese web site that is documenting the creation of a 3D model of Hak Nam.
3D Kowloon Walled City
This might inspire someone to make a paper model of Hak Nam. The site has a PDF plan to download.
There is a lot of information about Hak Nam on the internet, this is as good a place as any to start.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kowloon_Walled_City
Kowloon Walled City was torn down in 1993.

Origami, advanced fold patterns

A different kind of paper modeling.
I found an English language origami forum that posts fold patterns. Here are some of the creations of one of its members:
The Origami Forum • View topic - Karol Kafarski Gallery
They are difficult patterns. For the record I do not know how to "read" folding diagrams.
If you go up a couple of levels to the main page, a lot more origami information is available.

The fold pattern for a samurai:

The finished figure created from a single sheet of paper:

That red samurai is amazing, one sheet of paper ! Can't make head nor tail of the fold pattern, it looks like a language all of its own.

Thank you so much for the very welcome information, you have opened up a new universe of paper models to us. Would you mind sharing what the purchase experience was like and how you navigated the purchase pages? Did you use Google translate, or were you able to figure out what blanks to fill in on the Japanese language page?
And of course could you tell us a little about the model itself. The finished models on the web page look like they might require a UHU02 level of skill to assemble.
