More Canons

I just visited " Papermau "
PAPERMAU
where several more new releases from Canon have been posted.
The direct link to Canon's new postings, including a dinosaur, a BIG mammal, Princess Kaguya (The Tale of Princess Kaguya, 2013, Studio Ghibli), a mythical uni-horned critter, a colorful fish, and several craft projects can be found here:
New Contents - Canon Creative Park
Owners of Canon printers can also access a whole bunch of Premium Content models further down the web page.

Epson Paper model downloads

Epson Creative Corner - PhotoCraft - Crafts

This is the English language download site for free Epson paper models.
Sadly, the Samurai paper models on the Japanese language Epson website are still unobtainium.
戦国武将特集 | 精密クラフト | Webプリワールド | エプソン
They can be downloaded by registered owners of Epson printers , but as far as I can tell, only Epson printers sold in Japan appear on the list of printers that can print the models.

I guess Epson have switched on to Canon's little game with their Premium Models.

I had a need for an extra printer/scanner to use locally on a secondary PC in another room, so I was influenced to buy a cheap Canon MG2450 (」28.95) in order to access their Premium models. I first hooked it up to my primary PC and installed the 'Image Garden' software. It opened the door to the premium content fine.

I then moved the printer to the secondary computer and installed it on there, where it is now working fine ... BUT ... although the Canon software is still installed on my primary PC, somehow it knows that the Canon printer is no longer plugged in there and it will no longer download any premium content.

If the MG2450 had a cable or WiFi Network connection I could have installed it via the router so that it was available to all the PCs, laptops, phones, and tablets that regularly sweat my Modem, as my main printer is, but I guess i'd need to go further up the Canon price range to achieve that.

Skyscraper from Japan, a cut out model

https://www.city.owariasahi.lg.jp/ko.../skypaper.html

A one page cut out model of a skyscraper with a tower.
The construction method is different from the type of paper models we usually build.

Papermau has announced the posting of a ridiculously large and meticulously detailed paper model of a 19th c. palace on the Canon Creative Park Site.
PAPERMAU: Hohenzollern Castle Paper Model - by K.Yoshinaka & STpers
A bunch of new dinosaurs, mini models of buildings, and a brutalist house were recently added to the Creative Park collection.

English Language Download on Historical Japanese water craft

Not a paper model: a presentation given to "The Rope" about historical Japanese water craft.
The presentation was based on an early 19th c. document official document from maritime commission. Types of water craft were discussed.
https://theropetokyo-en.jimdo.com/ja...-of-documents/
This might be the place to start for building a Edo period Japanese boat model.

(Click on "download" on the homepage (upper right) to access the clubs news bulletins which contain a tremendous amount of modeling information. The gallery displays its members work. Needless to say each model is perfect. )
