a fistful of tatebanko

I found a few more tatebanko. The first one might be possible to build if enlarged and the panels separated.

Chusingura / Revenge of the 47 Ronin, 5 sheet Tatebanko of the night attack on Lord Kira's mansion. This is probably the best set of prints of this scene that I
have found on the Internet.

or in another format

or

I hope I will not be unforgiven for the length of these posts, there are late 19th c. and early 20th c. tatebanko out there but my keypad finger is getting tired, so it is time to take a rest.
I hope someone gives one of the single sheet taebankos a try, and then moves on the the Chusingura tatebanko.

Hi John, I do not know how you do it, finding all these sites and taking the time ( I am sure it must take a lot of time finding the sites and then putting them onto the forum)
Thank you for a job so well done, for such a long time, so that the rest of us can benefit and enjoy these pages that normally would not be available. Well done.
Thank you
Owen

A Temple and many other Paper models from Japan

Here is a paper model of a Temple posted on the newly revived Papermau :
https://papermau.blogspot.com/2019/0...per-model.html
Further exploration of the Temple web page discovered by Mauther led to this page
https://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/xatnep/diaryall/
which contains links to many other paper models that have been posted at the Rakuten web site/
This is another listing of the Rakuten paper models
https://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/xatnep/diary/?ctgy=1
Here is a sample set of models of colourful Japanese festival floats. This is a direct link
https://image.space.rakuten.co.jp/d/....35.2.9.2.jpeg
I am very glad to see the return of "Papermau", and also a big thank you to Mauther for providing the clues to a huge trove of Japanese paper models.
(Be sure to look for the Lucky Cat. Attaching an internal pendulum (made from toothpicks and pennies) to the upraised paw will make it into a simple automaton.)
