Thanks for the explanation, when I saw the image, I could not wrap my head around how the parts could be cut out and built. I have my suspicions about whether or not this single image represents a complete model, since it does not have the customary inset image showing the built up model.
This tatebanko could be made into a race game, by moving the longboats an agreed upon distance based on a coin flip, dice roll, or paper-rock-scissors outcome.

It is worth exploring or burrowing into the links as there are more Edo period paper toys (omocha-e) scattered around Wikimedia.
Some of the cut outs appear to be for paper theaters or peep shows, others are games, and some are just toys to play with, including some huishoudbenodigdheden.

I found a few paper models from Korea (and links to paper models from other places):

To download the original Korean models look for the tine green arrow, click on it, then click on the group of Korean letters that look a little like an L.. PC.... Or just click on everything on the page until you randomly hit the download command.
For the models from off site designers, click on the line that looks like a link to another site.

If you get frustrated trying to do the downloads, pause for a moment and listen to some soothing sounds from this S. Korean a cappella group:
